Kathy is a lifetime native of the Shoals area. She graduated from Deshler High School in 1984, and began her career in the medical field. After working with Semmes Murphey Neurosurgery, she went to work at North Alabama Bone and Joint Orthopedic Clinic, where she worked until leaving the clinic to open Shoals Orthopedics with Dr. Lee Nichols, where she remained until his retirement. Upon Dr. Nichols’ retirement in 2018, she was offered a position at Infants’ and Children’s Clinic, P.C., where she felt at home after trusting the physicians there to care for her daughter throughout the years. She has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She and her husband Mike have two children, and one granddaughter with whom she enjoys spending time.
