David Colvard, MD, FAAP

​

Dr. Colvard is a native of Alabama.  He received his BA from Bethel University and his MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.  He served his internship and residency at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters/Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, Norfolk, VA, and has been with Infants’ & Children’s since 1986.  He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and participates in Maintenance of Certification.  Dr. Colvard is active in his church (First Cumberland Presbyterian), and has served on the board of the Cramer Children’s Center for many years.  Dr. Colvard and his wife, Linda, have five children and six grandchildren (number 7 is on the way!).  He enjoys his family, working with the children of ICC, hiking outdoors, visiting the beach and the mountains, singing with the Florence Camerata, and playing piano.
