Bio
Dr. David Colvard is a native of Gadsden, Alabama. He is a graduate of Bethel College (now University), and received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Dr. Colvard did his residency in pediatrics in Virginia at Children's Hospital of the King’s Daughters (Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine). He is board certified through the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Colvard and his wife have five grown children, and currently fourteen wonderful grandchildren. With the additional time off that his retirement from full time pediatrics offers, Dr. Colvard is enjoying travel, watching his grandkids grow, and more time for his favorite hobby, piano. Dr. Colvard still enjoys working part time with Infants’ & Children’s Clinic.
